Feeding Anders has become a challenge. He will eat. He eats about 7/8 of what he used to eat. Feeding him, however, has turned into a knock down drag out big time Big Ten brawl.
Feeding Anders is akin to attempting to keep on your lap a semi-mobile cat with all of his claws and a stubborn disposition.
Once you stop trying to feed him, he mellows out, smiles and carries on normally. Everything else is fine. He likes to take his first pull out of the bottle. He will take 100 mils pretty consistently. Things deteriorate pretty quickly after that first pull. The sound of obstinate crying is maddening. One funny thing that has come out of this is that Anders likes to grab his burp towel and stuff it in his mouth to prevent further feedings. Today I pulled it out, like I do everyday, but today Anders did something different than all other times. He immediately grabbed the discarded towel and stuffed it back in his mouth.
He's cute enough to be a baby model and now he eats like a model. Well, one more battle--I mean bottle--tonight, then bedtime.
We need Anders' fellow Fairview Riverside baby and Leo--MN Steve--to get here and explain to Anders the joys of food.
