We took our yearly pictures today in Edina at a really cool park that winds beneath a series of shopping centers. I never knew it was there! Anders did pretty well considering he had a scant nap. He got a little goofy as he stuck his tongue out at the camera toward the end, but I think we'll have some good shots. The photographer got him putting his arms around both of us, which he loves to do.
Anders told me a couple of things that I'd like to put in the time capsule now and retrieve in a decade. He was asking me what roads we were taking, which he often does, so I listed them, to which he replied, "Daddy you know everything!"
Anna protested this notion.
Then at supper he started clapping for himself, but then transitioned into clapping for me. Anna had become frustrated with Anders' chronically slow eating and my generally unhelpful suggestions, somehow this led to clapping.
Well, we are off to the North Shore of Lake Superior tomorrow for 60s, showers, and the 3 best days of summer, sans Anders...
